Steak and Potato




Garlic Butter Steak and Potato

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. steak bites (sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • ½ lb. small potatoes (baby or fingerling, halved)
  • 3 tbsp butter, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:

    • In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil.
    • Add the halved potatoes, season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning, and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown and fork-tender.
    • Remove potatoes from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook the Steak:

    • In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.
    • Add steak bites in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove steak from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining 2 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Combine Everything:

    • Add the cooked potatoes and steak bites back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the garlic butter sauce.
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and optional red pepper flakes.
  5. Serve & Enjoy!

    • Serve hot with your favorite side or enjoy it straight from the skillet!
