Crispy Beef Taco
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
½ cup water
12 small corn tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
½ cup diced onions (optional)
½ cup chopped cilantro (optional)
1 cup shredded lettuce
½ cup diced tomatoes
½ cup sour cream
½ cup salsa
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
2. Season the Beef: Add taco seasoning and water. Stir and let simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
3. Prepare the Tortillas: Heat about ½ inch of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
4. Assemble & Fry: Place a spoonful of beef and a sprinkle of cheese onto one side of a tortilla. Fold it over and press gently. Fry in hot oil for about 1-2 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel.
5. Top & Serve: Fill with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, sour cream, and salsa.
