Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or half beef, half ground pork)
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small head green cabbage, chopped
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup cooked white rice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Stir in chopped cabbage and cook until it starts to soften, about 5–7 minutes.
4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cooked rice, salt, pepper, and seasonings. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Transfer mixture to the baking dish. Cover tightly with foil.
6. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheese (if using), and bake uncovered for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and the cabbage is tender.
7. Let sit 5–10 minutes before serving.
