Beef and Potato Casserole Recipe


Ingredients:


1 lb ground beef


4 cups thinly sliced potatoes (about 4 medium)


1 small onion, chopped


2 cloves garlic, minced


1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup


1/2 cup milk


1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)


1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


1/2 tsp salt


1/2 tsp black pepper


1/2 tsp paprika


Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)



Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.



2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.



3. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream (if using), salt, pepper, and paprika.



4. Layer half the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Top with half the beef mixture, then half the soup mixture, and a sprinkle of cheese.



5. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with cheese on top.



6. Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden.



7. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
