Homemade BBQ Sauce

Homemade BBQ Sauce

If you’ve never made your own BBQ sauce, this is your sign to try it. It’s sweet, tangy, a little smoky, and honestly tastes way better than most store-bought sauces. Plus, it only takes about 10 minutes to whip up!

Ingredients:

 • 2 cups ketchup

 • ½ cup apple cider vinegar

 • ¼ cup packed brown sugar

 • 2 tablespoons honey

 • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

 • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional but adds brightness)

 • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

 • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

 • ½ teaspoon onion powder

 • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

 • A pinch of salt

 • Optional: a dash of hot sauce for some kick

Instructions:

 1. In a medium saucepan, combine all the ingredients over medium heat.

 2. Stir everything together until smooth and well combined.

 3. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

 4. Taste and adjust — if you want it sweeter, add more honey or sugar; for more tang, add a splash more vinegar.

 5. Once it thickens slightly and the flavors have blended nicely, remove from heat and let cool.

To Store:

Pour into a jar or airtight container. It’ll keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Brush it on ribs, burgers, chicken, or even use it as a dip for fries. It’s a game changer!
