delicious Cheesy Meatball Bake
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place in a greased skillet over medium heat. Brown them for 3-4 minutes on each side (they don’t need to be fully cooked).
4. Spread half of the marinara sauce in the baking dish. Arrange the meatballs on top.
5. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the meatballs, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
7. Let rest for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve with pasta, garlic bread, or a side salad.
