Crockpot Pepper Steak




Crockpot Pepper Steak


Ingredients:


2 lbs beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced into thin strips


1 tsp garlic powder


2 tbsp vegetable oil


1 cup hot water


1 beef bouillon cube (or 1 tsp beef base)


2 tbsp cornstarch


1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce


2 tbsp brown sugar


1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce


1 tsp ground ginger


1/2 tsp black pepper


1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes with juice


1 onion, sliced


1 green bell pepper, sliced


1 red bell pepper, sliced


1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)



Instructions:


1️⃣ Sear the Beef: Sprinkle sliced beef with garlic powder. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef for about 5 minutes per side until browned. Transfer to the slow cooker.


2️⃣ Prepare the Sauce: Dissolve the bouillon cube in hot water. Stir in cornstarch until smooth. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, ginger, and black pepper. Pour over the beef in the slow cooker.


3️⃣ Add Vegetables & Tomatoes: Pour the diced tomatoes (with juice) over the beef. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Stir everything together.


4️⃣ Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until beef is tender.


5️⃣ Serve: Stir well and serve over white rice or noodles. Enjoy
